The Willow Tree team is made up of Sarah and Annie.

Since we opened the shop on 16 June 2006, a great deal has happened.  This has prevented us from keeping the website as up-to-date as we had wanted.

First, Ken had been ill, which incurred a total of five hospital admissions between August 2006 and February 2007.  Ken passed away on Friday, 9 February 2007, which was totally unexpected and has knocked us sideways.  

However, Ken will continue to be a full member of our team as his memory lives on, as does his dream.

Second, Annie has started a new course at College - business studies and this is proving to be very helpful in the running of our venture.  Since Ken's illness and subsequent death, Annie has decided to give her support to Sarah and the shop.  She will reconsider attending College later this year.

Third, Sarah has had to learn a great deal very fast.  Commerce is a totally new area for her but she has had to learn in order to keep the business going.  The up-hill journey just got steeper (almost vertical) but the dream will continue for as long as we possibly can maintain it.

Last - we have made some absolutely wonderful friends through the shop and we would like to pay our sincere tribute to them all.  Without the support and encouragement of these very special people, we would have lost heart.  

In particular, we would like to wish Nigel and Shelley the best of luck with their new venture in Exmouth - we do miss you both.  Also, Katherine who has given us such inspiration - she has moved to Stroud to be nearer to her relatives ... good luck and good health to you.
